Former Bangladesh national team physio Ariel Colman is set to join Bangladesh Premier League side Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club as a trainer next season. The Argentinian is expected to arrive in Dhaka on August 16 to finalise and sign the contract.
Colman claimed that both Abahani Ltd and Jamal wanted his service, but Colman had already agreed to terms with the latter before Abahani contacted him. "Abahani's Nazrul called me saying that they want me, but I already gave my words to Sheikh Jamal," said Ariel.
Nazrul, however, dismissed the claim and said they never talked to each other about recruiting the Argentinian.
This will be the third mission for Colman in Bangladesh, but the first time for a premier league club. Colman earlier worked with two former Bangladesh coaches, Argentinian Andres Cruciani and Brazilian Edson Silva Dido.
Ariel also informed that Jamal will pay $2,500 to him as monthly salary.
