An emotionally choked Bangladesh skipper Mamunul Islam said his team had a bad day in the field against Nepal and he once thought of taking the field overruling the team’s decision.
The captain trained with the team yesterday and broke into tears while sharing his thoughts at the police headquarters ground. “I thought to take the field and play for the country, but the injury restricted me to do that. I have asked the players to wake up and show their worth,” said Mamunul.
The captain also said Bangladesh has failed to insert their best playing 11 who beat Nepal in last March. “I was there, Rony was there and over all we have pinned our plan on a eleven that had never looked light, the combinations we have practiced were never successful and at the end of the day we are the losers,” said Mamunul.
Mamunul said they have not given the hope up and will try to put their best against India.
