Former Bangladesh national team tactician Maruful Haque joined Abahani Limited as the new head coach.
A director of the Dhanmondi-based club confirmed the appointment Thursday.
"According to the decision of board of directors of Abahani, Maruful has been appointed as coach of the football team for the ongoing season," said Abahani director Sheikh Bashir Ahmed.
Former national footballer Satyajit Das Rupu also returned as manager of Abahani.
Maruful is currently in Vietnam coaching the national Under-20 team for the AFC U-20 Asian Cup qualifiers scheduled for September 21-29.
He will join the Sky Blues after the competition.
