Denmark-born Bangladesh national football team skipper Jamal Bhuiyan urged the Bangladesh people to be united amid the student movement that started with protest for quota reformation, followed by series of non-judicial killings across the country over the last two weeks.

“Praying for all,” stated Jamal on his verified Facebook and Instagram page Saturday with emoticons of Bangladesh flag and heart sign and a photograph of him holding the national flag with the fans behind attached.
“To all my people in Bangladesh, I see you and follow you, I feel your pain. Praying for better days ahead inshallah. Let’s unite rather than divide,” he concluded.
Earlier Wednesday, Jamal showed his support for the movement expressing “deepest respect and condolences” to those who have died on another post on same platforms.
