Star Under-19 striker Mosammat Sagorika does not know how much she would be paid after penning a deal with Ataur Rahman Bhuiyan College Sporting Club for the next Women's Football League campaign.

The Noakhali-based club registered 21 players for the league, including Sagorika.

Sagorika was adjudged the best player of the SAFF U-19 Women's Championship 2024 last February after netting four goals, including the equalizer in the final against India.

The performance attracted ARB College to sign her before the deadline of WFL last Sunday without revealing financial terms.

When asked how much she would be paid for the new contract, Sagorika told Dhaka Tribune: "I can't say it correctly now. Perhaps I would know when the league starts."

Sagorika played for Brahmanbaria FC during the last WFL edition but the club are not participating this time.

The initial deal with Brahmanbaria was Tk25,000 for the round-robin league but Sagorika only received Tk20,000 in total.

"Hopefully, it will increase this time," said Sagorika from her village in Thakurgaon's Ranishankail upazila ahead of the Eid holidays.

ARB club are based in Ataur Rahman Bhuiyan College in Noakhali.

They are participating in the league for the third time.

The club's secretary Sohel Khandaker said the total budget is “almost same” as previous 2021-22 edition where they finished second to champions Bashundhara Kings.

The club official however, did not disclose the financial details of any player of the current squad.
