Bangladesh grouped with India in both SAFF U-19, U-16 Championship

Bangladesh were placed in Group A with India and Nepal in the Saff U-16 Championship while in the SAFF U-19 Championship, they were drawn in Group B alongside India and Bhutan

Bangladesh will participate in next month's South Asian Football Federation Under-16 and U-19 Championship, to be held in Bhutan and Nepal respectively.

The decision was taken at the sixth development committee meeting of Bangladesh Football Federation Friday at the federation board room with committee chairman and BFF vice president Ataur Rahman Bhuiyan Manik in the chair.

Bangladesh were grouped with neighbors India in both the tournaments.

The six-nation SAFF U-16 Championship 2023 will take place from September 1-10.

Bangladesh, placed in three-team Group A with India and Nepal, will play India first on September 1 before taking on Nepal on September 3, both at Changlimithang Stadium.

After the group stage matches, top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals, slated for September 7, while the grand finale is scheduled for September 10.

In the six-nation SAFF U-19 Championship 2023, Bangladesh were drawn in Group B.

Bangladesh will lock horns with India in the inaugural match on September 21 before facing Bhutan on September 23, both at Dasharath Stadium.

Top two teams from each group will progress to the semi-finals, set to be held on September 27, while the final will take place on September 30.
