Team BJMC suffered a 2-1 defeat against the hosts Thimphu City FC in their first match of the King’s Cup at the Thimphu’s Changlimithang Stadium yesterday.
The home side took a two-goal lead in the first-half with goals from Dawagyplt Shen in the 23rd minute and Karmasherdup a minute before the break. BJMC scored a consolation through forward Aminur Rahman in the 77th minute.
The other Bangladeshi club Arambagh KS, who lost to Bhutan A-division champions Yeedzin FC in the opener, will take on Nepal’s top flight club Machhindra FC in their second game on July 26 before BJMC play United Sikkim FC next day.
