Kazi Nabil Ahmed, the convener of the probe committee investigating financial irregularities of Bangladesh Football Federation that saw FIFA ban its former general secretary, is satisfied with the work of the investigation so far.
The fourth meeting of the investigation committee was held at BFF House Sunday after which Nabil, who is also BFF vice president, talked to the media.
“We are looking into the complaint of FIFA. Some officials were called for interviews and we took information from them. We can't reveal the details of the investigation. The investigation is progressing with everyone's cooperation,” Nabil said.
“We are doing what we have been assigned. We are working on finding out some more specific information. Since there is a complaint, there must be something. We are looking into them deeply. We are looking to identify the problem.
“We can work specifically. We had four meetings. There will be three or four more meetings. We are pleased that the work is progressing. Nothing can be done with preconceived notions. We have to investigate what is there.
“We are trying to do everything within 30 working days. We are not obstructed from anywhere. Work is going well, no problems especially when it comes to getting information or making inquiries.”
