Venezuela midfielder Edward Morillo showed his true colors while netting a brace that ensured his side Police's incredible 2-1 win over top-of-the-table Bashundhara Kings in the Bangladesh Premier League last Friday.

Morillo dribbled past a couple of defenders including Topu Barman inside the penalty area to score the first goal before sealing victory with another brilliant strike into the far post.

The win ended the Kings' 14-match unbeaten streak in the league this season.

“It feels great not only that I scored goals but also what I did for my team. We knew our opponents' strength but tried our best to win an important game. This is why I liked the second goal the most because it ensured the victory,” said the 26-year old.

“All the players in the team are united. We always try our best to perform well. We are working accordingly. I'm having fun at the club. I'm really enjoying,” he replied to a different query.

The win helped Police leapfrog Mohammedan to move to fifth place in the 11-team standings with 20 points from 15 matches.

Morillo also talked about his potential goal of the season.

“My target is helping my club stay among the top four. That is why we must work hard with modesty and unity.”
