Bangladesh Football Federation vice president Kazi Nabil Ahmed expressed sorrow to journalists Wednesday for making an unofficial comment before a press conference a day earlier.
“An unintended incident took place after an executive committee meeting of BFF and before a press conference Tuesday. I made a comment about my journalist brothers which badly shocked them. I'm sincerely sorry for this comment,” stated Nabil through a press release.
The statement continued, “I shouldn't have made such comment. I myself also have been involved with newspaper industry for long time. Everybody knows about our family relation with this sector. This comment also dawned on me. So I can feel what you are feeling. I hope, like all the time, they will be with me.”
