Bangladesh U-17 women's team kicked off their AFC U-17 Asian Cup qualifiers campaign with a crushing 6-0 win over Turkmenistan at Jalan Besar Stadium in Singapore Wednesday.
Thuinuye Marma netted a brace while Puja Das, Ruma Akter, Sauravi Akanda Prity and Sree Moti Trishna added one apiece.
Bangladesh began the game brightly as they scored two past Turkmenistan within five minutes into the clock thanks to Puja's opener and Thuinuye's first goal.
Captain Ruma scored in the 39th minute as the girls in red and green went into the break with a 3-0 lead.
Thuinuye added another soon after the break before Prity extended the lead from a penalty at the hour-mark.
Trishna came off the bench to complete the rout with another penalty goal in the 82nd minute.
Bangladesh will face hosts Singapore in their second and last match of the first-round qualifiers this Sunday and a win will take them through to the second round.
