Bangladesh Football Federation has appointed Imran Hossain Tushar as acting general secretary replacing the suspended Abu Nayeem Shohag.
Tushar started working for BFF as protocol manager in 2017 before becoming personal secretary of BFF president Kazi Salahuddin a year later.
“It is a challenging job. I hope we can overcome the current situation and bring back the good image of the federation like before,” Tushar told Dhaka Tribune in his immediate reaction.
World football's governing body Fifa last Friday suspended Shohag for two years with a fine due to forgery and falsification.
Abdus Salam Murshedy, BFF's senior vice president and finance committee chairman, said in addition to Fifa's ban, Shohag has been suspended for life by BFF.
