Brunei and Seychelles have agreed to tour Bangladesh to participate in a single-round tri-nation series set to be host by Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) during the next FIFA international window in March.
Bangladesh may play a couple of international matches after around six months if the world football's governing body FIFA approves the proposal for Tri-nation Cup 2023.
The tri-nation series will likely be held at Sylhet District Stadium on March 22-28. Each country will play each other once and the team with the most points will be the champions.
A virtual meeting of the national team committee presided by its chairman Kazi Nabil Ahmed was held Monday where the decision was taken.
“We will organize a tri-nation series during March window where Brunei and Seychelles will tour Bangladesh to play with us. There will be three matches. We are taking preparation for this. We decide the venue in Sylhet.” said Nabil, the BFF Vice-president, after the meeting.
Nabil also said that they picked Dhaka and Sylhet for the preparation camp of the Bangladesh team which will start soon after the end of first phase of Bangladesh Premier League.
