Argentina has again expressed its gratitude towards Bangladesh, and its Argentine fan base in a football league held recently.
The flag of Bangladesh was displayed during an Argentinian domestic football league game on Monday.
A photo was posted on the verified Facebook ID of the league, Liga Profesional de Fútbol de la AFA, with a caption that reads: “Thank you Bangladesh. The World Champions League will forever be grateful.”
Earlier, Argentina captain Lionel Messi, one of the greatest players of all time, admitted that he has seen and got to hear about the Bangladeshi football fans' passionate support for the Albiceleste, and expressed gratitude in a recent interview with Diario Ole.
When queried if he witnessed scenes of the mad following back in Bangladesh, Messi sai: "Yes, I saw it all - the t-shirts everywhere, before the final. Seeing the ‘10' Argentina t-shirts from people around the world, of Messi, is a very beautiful thing."
In recent times, the dynamic support from Bangladeshi fans for the World Cup winners received its due recognition as their football federation's official Twitter handle showed appreciation through a post on December 20.
Argentine people meanwhile, have also reciprocated the love as they were seen in various social media posts waving the Bangladesh flag during their post-World Cup celebrations.
