Bangladesh to hold camp in Thailand

Update : 19 Jun 2013, 12:51 PM
Bangladesh national football team will fly to Thailand on July 10 for a conditioning camp ahead of their preparation for the Saff Championship scheduled to be held in Nepal in September. The national camp will get underway from June 28, but the Dutch duo, head coach Lodewijk de Kruif and his assistant Rene Koster will arrive on July 1 to take full charges of the team. The national side will have their conditioning camp in Bangkok and they are also billed to play a practice match against Thailand in their 10-day trip on July 19. They are also likely to witness a pre-season match of English giants Manchester United and Chelsea who will be in the Thai capital during Bangladesh’s stay. The National Teams Committee of the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) is likely to give more overseas exposure to the team and is mulling another couple of overseas tour before the final challenge of the Saff Championship.

Meanwhile, BFF was boosted with the positive response of five teams for the Bangabandhu Gold Cup billed to be held in October. Malaysia, Thailand, Iran, Kuwait and UAE have responded positive over the tourney.
