Interest for tickets of Argentina's group stage matches in the upcoming Qatar World Cup 2022 is not only highest among fans all over the world, but in Bangladesh too.
Bangladesh Football Federation said Monday that among the 447 online ticket applications received by them thus far, demand for Argentina games is the highest.
According to data released by world football governing body Fifa last Friday, 23.5m ticket requests were filed throughout the world by the April 28 deadline of the random selection sales period.
"We have got an estimate from Fifa that we are going to receive 200 to 250 tickets from them but the exact number will be confirmed by (Thursday)," said BFF general secretary Abu Nayeem Sohag.
Lionel Messi, fresh from his first senior international title at Copa America, will be playing his fifth World Cup, scheduled to get underway in November.
Argentina have been drawn in Group C alongside Poland, Mexico and Saudi Arabia.
