Rahmatganj keep winning

Update : 10 Aug 2016, 08:10 PM
Rahmatganj Muslim Friends Society continued their brilliant form in the Bangladesh Premier League after they beat Uttar Baridhara Club 2-0 at the water-logged Rafiquddin Bhuiyan Stadium in Mymensingh on Wednesday. The Old Dhaka outfits climbed jointly at the top of table. It might seem like a fairytale run for the traditionally mediocre club but for their coach Kamal Babu, who announced to fight for their debut championship title, it is just the beginning. This victory put them at par with Muktijoddha, Chittagong Abahani and Abahani Limited, earning eight points from four matches while Uttar Baridhara remained at second from bottom with only three points. Congolese striker Siyo Zunapiyo gave Rahmatganj the breakthrough from a penalty in the first half's added time. Gambian forward Dawda Sisse was brought down by Baridhara defender Alauddin Babu in the middle of the box. Zunapiyo sent Baridhara keeper Razib the wrong way from the spot. Sisse doubled the lead to seal the victory in the 90th minute after the Gambian forward fired home into the far post with an old-fashioned drive from 20 yards that gave Razib no chance to stop the ball.
