Update : 29 May 2013, 05:03 PM
After Dhaka powerhouse Mohammedan Sporting Club expressed interest on Tuesday, three other clubs - premier league champions Sheikh Russell KC, Abahani Limited and Brothers Union - have also revealed their desire to participate in the Kings Cup football tournament, scheduled to be held in the first week of July in Bhutan. Bhutan Football Federation invited just two Bangladesh Premier League clubs to participate in the meet and now BFF premier league committee will decide which two lucky teams will get the chance. Agreeing with the terms and conditions, Brothers informed the BFF of their interest late Tuesday night, while Russell and Abahani notified the federation yesterday. BFF general secretary Abu Nayeem Shohag said that they will finalise which two teams will go Bhutan by May 1 and inform the Bhutan Football Federation accordingly. A total of eight clubs, two each from hosts Bhutan, Bangladesh, India and Nepal, are expected to take part in the tournament.
