Iran national women's football team will be first to arrive in Dhaka on May 16 to take part in their AFC Women's Asian Cup Group B qualifiers scheduled to be held at the Bangabandhu National Stadium from May 21. Apart from the hosts Bangladesh, Thailand and Philippines who are expected to arrive on May 18 and 19 respectively will also participate in the tournament. Usually teams are scheduled to reach two days prior the event, but Iran will be arriving earlier to adjust to the conditions. A total of 16 teams are divided into four groups with single round-robin matches. The champions of each group will qualify for the final tournament next year. Bangladesh will play their first match against Thailand on May 21 before facing Iran on May 23. The home side will take on Philippines in their last group match on May 25.
