Bangladesh football team received a boost before their Saff Championship 2021 clash against neighbors India Monday, as dependable midfielder Sohel Rana returned to training after recovering from fever.

Abahani midfielder Sohel missed the 1-0 win against Sri Lanka in Bangladesh's Saff opener Friday and trained with his teammates for the first time since arriving in Male.

Sohel in a video circulated by Bangladesh Football Federation said, "I trained but felt a little weak. There's still some time left for the game. I can recover quickly, and will be able to play against India. But whether I play is upto the coach (Oscar Bruzon). It will also depend on my recovery."

Bangladesh team underwent their preparations for the India tie Saturday on the turf of FAM Practice Ground.

One part of the players took part in recovery session while the other part went through regular preparation, and at the end of practice, the players took ice baths.

Sunday's practice will be held at Henveiru Training Pitch while captain Jamal Bhuiyan and Bruzon will perform media duties.
