Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited signed off from their Grameenphone Bangladesh Premier League campaign in an off-putting note after they came from behind to snatch a 1-1 draw against hosts Feni Soccer Club at the Bhasha Shaheed Salam Stadium yesterday. Liberian striker Anthony Pele Doe put the hosts ahead in the 31st minute before Mohammedan’s Ghanaian in-form striker Osei Morrison restored the parity in the 71st minute. The black and whites gathered 25 points from 16 matches and they are the first team to complete their fixtures at the fourth position in the points chart while most of the teams have a game left. However, Team BJMC’s victory on the same day did not affect Mohammedan’s position in the table, but a BJMC win in their last match will see Mohammedan go down by a place. On the other hand, the draw came as a blessing for the home side. With the point they now have 12 points, six more than bottom placed Arambagh. It made Arambagh’s chances of survival in the top flight very little as they have two matches left against tougher opponents BJMC and Brothers Union.
