British-Bangladeshi footballer Hamza Choudhury received a warm and exuberant felicitation from the Bengali community in Britain as he became the first ever Bangladeshi born to win FA Cup, the oldest football tournament in England.
The 23-year old Hamza, whose mother is a Bangladeshi, won the prestigious trophy for his club Leicester City for the first time a couple days back and received plaudits from around the world as he showed solidarity with people of Palestine while celebrating the win.
In a video, posted on social media, it was seen Hamza was welcomed and showered with confetti from the people in neighborhood while he was ascending to his car. Later on, he hugged with the neighbors as the joy was brimming amid a car adorned with Palestine flag.

Hamza, the talented defensive mid-fielder played a crucial role for the first ever FA Cup title of Leicester and after their 1-0 win over Chelsea he and his French teammate Wesley Fofana raised the flag of Palestine while replying the standing ovation of the Wembley crowd.

Hamza’s act was praised wholeheartedly among many including Pink Floyd singer Roger Waters and the young Brit who keeps strong bonding with Bangladesh and Asian Community in Britain inspired many people around the world for the cause of Palestine.
