The men's football event in the ninth edition of the Bangabandhu Bangladesh Games got underway at Shaheed Dhirendranath Datta Stadium in Comilla Saturday with Satkhira beating Comilla 3-0 in the opening game.
Sumon, Jakir and Mohananda scored one each for the winning side.
Bangladesh Football Federation, Bangladesh Olympic Association and Comilla District Sports Association are in charge of overseeing the men's football event.
A total of eight teams, including Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishthan and Bangladesh Army, will take part in the competition.
Rangpur and BKSP were scheduled to take on each other in the second game of the day.
