Bangladesh women’s football will experience a busy year in 2021 after a barren last 18 months where no international fixtures saw them lose their spot in the Fifa women’s ranking.

Bangladesh Football Federation aims to change all that so that the women’s national team regain their place in the global football ranking, with different Fifa competitions scheduled to be held in February, April, September and November.

The nationwide Bangamata Fazilatunnesa Gold Cup U-19 Football will be held in July, while there will also be the AFC U-17 and U-20 events, alongside the Saff U-16 Championship.

The Women’s Football League took place in 2020 after a gap of six years, and the BFF is mulling organizing the next edition in March, 2021, with the transfer window slated from February 15 to 24.
