Bangladesh football team captain Jamal Bhuiyan has said the players are doing well after arriving in Qatar for the rescheduled World Cup and Asian Cup joint qualifier against the Asian champion on December 4.
The booters arrived in Qatar without Covid-19 struck head coach Jamie Day and injured striker Nabib Newaj Jibon after winning the just-concluded two-game Mujib Barsho International Football Series 2020 against Nepal at Bangabandhu National Stadium.
Jamal said, “Good afternoon, Assalamualaikum to everyone, we have arrived in Qatar, everyone is doing well. We are all in separate rooms as we are maintaining mandatory three-day quarantine. Everyone is on their own.
“But we are mentally fit, we are doing fitness work from the hotel. We cannot go out right now unfortunately. But overall everybody is happy, everyone is safe. We are just looking forward to the day we can practice again. I hope to see you all soon again.”
