All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has confirmed FIFA friendly matches with Bangladesh scheduled to be held in Dhaka on November 13 and 17, said the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF).

“We have received confirmation letter from ANFA today about the two friendly matches during FIFA window. The team is most likely to arrive and depart through chartered plane.” BFF general secretary Abu Nayeem Shohag told the reporters adding that the games would be held at 6 or 7pm Bangladesh Time.

The BFF soon after the confirmation letter announced a 36-man preliminary squad. The residential practice camp is set to start this week while head coach Jamie Day is scheduled to join the team by the end of the month. Assistant coach Masud Parvez Kaiser will take the charge in the absence of Day.

The squad is unchanged from the previous one called in late July for the practice camp of World Cup and Asian Cup joint qualifiers. The further postponement of the Bangladesh’s remaining Group E qualifying fixtures saw the players leave the camp soon after three days of Covid-19 testing procedure.

There are highest 14 players from the premier league champions Bashundhara Kings in the primary squad along with seven from Abahani Limited and Saif Sporting Club, three from Chattogram Abahani, two from Sheikh Russel and Bangladesh Police and one from Uttar Baridhara.
