Fifa president Gianni Infantino has wished luck to the candidates contesting Saturday’s BFF Elective Congress, currently taking place at Hotel Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka.
The Swiss-Italian in a video message also thanked everyone at the BFF who are involved in the electoral congress.
"First of all, I am very pleased to be able to address your Elective Congress. I also wish all the candidates the very best of luck for the congress; continue to work for football and continue to work for Bangladesh," said the 50-year old Infantino.
"Unfortunately, I cannot be there with you physically but believe me I am there with my heart. The situation due to Covid-19 does not allow us to travel around the world. But even if we are distant, we still are together and football will play even a bigger role in the months to come to bring people together.
“I would like to thank everyone for what you are doing for football in Bangladesh, in Asia and actually all over the world.”
