Aslam-led Samannay Parishad announces manifesto

The 24-point manifesto prioritized holding local leagues in different age-groups and senior levels in the districts and divisions

Samannay Parishad, or coordinated panel, contesting against Kazi Salahuddin and Co in the BFF Poll 2020, has announced its three-page manifesto at a city hotel, two days before the much awaited election.

With former football superstar and ex-BFF executive member Sheikh Mohammad Aslam as a senior vice-president candidate, the panel comprises 19 members, excluding the presidential and vice-presidential candidate.

BFF vice-president Mohiuddin Mohi, Police FC official Sheikh Mohammad Maruf Hasan, and SM Abdullah al Fuyad will vie for the vice-president’s posts from the panel.

The 24-point manifesto prioritized holding local leagues in different age-groups and senior levels in the districts and divisions, and setting up a 12-year long-term plan to “bring back lost glory of football”.

It pledged to hold district and upazila leagues as well as Suhrawardy Cup and Sher-e-Bangla Cup to make the pipeline for national team stronger, as well as arrange inter-college, inter-school, office and corporate football leagues.
