Historic Swadhin Bangla Football team’s footballer Nowsheruzzaman has been admitted to Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at a capital's hospital after being tested Covid-19 positive.
The 72-year-old football star was first admitted to Mugda general hospital Saturday before transferred to Green Life Hospital next day due to deteriorated health situation, informed his elder brother AFM Badiuzzaman.
“Mughda hospital didn’t have empty ICU seat so we had to move him elsewhere. His condition is now improving.” said Badiuzzaman on Monday.
He also informed that there were two different corona reports. Praava collected samples on Friday and their result was negative while the report at Mughda Hospital within a space of day found positive.
Nowsheruzzaman was striker at Swadhin Bangla team during the Liberation War 1971. He played both football and cricket for Mohammedan SC.
