Costa Rican footballer Daniel Colindres Solera, who featured in the 2018 Russia World Cup, bid Bashundhara Kings goodbye after two successful years in Bangladesh.
Colindres won three titles - the Bangladesh Premier League, Independence Cup and Federation Cup - with the Kings, who only made their top-flight debut in 2018.
Commenting on the 35-year old's departure, Kings president Imrul Hasan said, "Rather than the player Colindres, we will miss the person Colindres after his farewell. It was a big thing, the way he mixed with the local people as a foreigner. The foreign footballers are usually not like this.
"Actually, our league is halted at the moment (league suspended this season). Our deal with Colindres expired last May. AFC Cup will resume this October. It's a long gap. It will be tough for us to continue paying him during this time. Hence, we have decided to part our ways."
