Bangladesh Football Federation has made a list of 240 struggling footballers across the country to hand it over to National Sports Council for government funding.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports earlier announced its decision to help 1,000 athletes from 26 sports federations who are struggling financially due to Covid-19 pandemic.
A BFF official informed that they had asked the 64 district football associations to give them the names.

The list includes three footballers from each district.
Some female booters at the BFF training camp are also in the list, excluding 40 footballers who are under payment roll.
“There are some 26-27 female footballers in the list comprising the ones who are in BFF camp but not those who are under contract. There are 240 footballers in the list. We will try to approve as many as possible for government fund,” said BFF general secretary Abu Nayeem Shohag.
