“If Munna was alive today he would do something for the corona victims. I decided to put his first international trophy winning jersey for auction if it can help some,” said Shurovi, who lives with a daughter and son in Narayanganj.
“I have many jerseys of Munna, Nos 2, 3, 13, 16 he wore for the national team and Abahani Limited. I even have one rare No 7 jersey. But I never let any of his jerseys off my hands,” added Munna’s wife.
Earlier, star cricketer Shakib al Hasan decided to auction one of his favorite bats which was later sold for Tk20 lakhs to raise Covid-19 funds.
