Dhaka Tribune will lock horns with Channel i in the grand finale of the Marcel-BSJC Media Cup Football (six-a-side) Tournament 2017 at M Mansur Ali Handball Stadium in Motijheel on Saturday. The match begins at 10am.
In the sixth and penultimate day of the indoor football competition on Friday, DT dominated SA TV but were unable to convert their authority into goals in the first half of the semi-final.
Tribune though finally broke the deadlock in the second half, courtesy player of the match Mohammad Shahriar Real. Atikur Rahman scored the second goal to give DT breathing space, and, a place in the final.
Tribune are not only unbeaten in the tournament but are yet to concede a goal in four matches.
In the other last four clash, Channel i edged RTV 2-1.
Ruhul gave RTV the lead but Channel i scripted a brilliant comeback with Arif named man of the match for his brace.
FM Iqbal bin Anwar Don, operative director, head of sports and welfare, Walton, was present as chief guest during the semis and distributed prizes among the winners.
The champion will pocket Tk30,000 while the runners-up will receive Tk20,000.
