Favorite Bashundhara Kings continued their goal spree in the Women’s Football League as they netted 25 goals in two matches after thrashing Spartan MK Gallactico Sylhet 13-0 at Kamalapur Stadium in Dhaka Sunday.

Captain Sabina Khatun opened the scoring with only five minutes into the clock after the league resumed following a week-long break, and the country’s all-time top-scoring striker went on to complete her second consecutive hat-trick with goals in the 45th and 73rd minute.

National midfielder Monika Chakma also struck a treble as the Kings went into break with a 6-0 lead while Tahura Khatun and Munni Akter netted a brace apiece in the second half to complete the rout.

Srimoti Krishna Rani Sarkar, the national forward who scored a quadruple in the last match against Begum Anwara Sporting Club, got into the scoresheet only once, a minute after Sabina’s first goal, while defender Sheuli Azim scored one and Mukta Das conceded an own goal.

Nasrin Sports Academy, who smashed a dozen past Spartan without reply in the first match, will face Begum Anwara Monday, while Football Club Uttar Bango and Kumilla United face each other in the other match.
