Chittagong and Barisal reached the final of the 2nd Bangabandhu U-17 (Boys) Gold Cup while Dhaka and Khulna made it to the grand finale of the inaugural Bangamata U-17 (Girls) Gold Cup after winning their respective semi-finals Thursday.
Khulna thrashed Chittagong 4-1 in the day’s first semi-final (girls) in the morning before Dhaka edged past Rangpur 1-0 at Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka.
Chittagong boys’ team beat Mymensingh 4-3 in the tiebreaker after the stipulated time ended goalless while Barisal defeated Khulna 2-0 in the last semi-final of the day in the afternoon.
Both the finals will be held at the same venue Saturday.
