Epyllion Group, Musk Trousers Limited, Self Innovative Fashions and Torque Fashions Ltd won their respective group stage matches in the 5th BGMEA Cup football tournament Friday at International Hope School Bangladesh.
Defending champion Epyllion beat Aspire Garments Ltd 3-0 while Musk also handed Sterling Group a defeat with similar scoreline.
Earlier in Group A, Epyllion were held to a scoreless draw by Musk.
SIFL stunned powerhouse Comfit Composite Knit Ltd 1-0 on the back of a superb free-kick by Mohsin.
Apparel Industry and Tusuka Group played out a 1-1 draw while Torque won 2-0 against Mehnaz Styles and Crafts Ltd.
The tournament was inaugurated by BGMEA president Dr Rubana Haq while BUFT chairman Muzaffar U Sidduiqi and former BGMEA vice president Faruque Hasan were also present among other dignitaries.
BUFT, Sailor by Epyllion, DBL Ceramics are platinum sponsors of the tournament while Ananta Group and Tusuka Group are gold sponsors.
CBL Munchee, Race Online Ltd, Turkish Kabab and Foods and Movement Solutions are among other partners in the tournament.
