Gono University sealed the Faraaz Inter-university Gold Cup 2019 as they beat Southeast University in the final at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in Motijheel Monday.
After a goalless 90 minutes, Gono University won the game on tiebreakers 4-2.
Shamim Hasan of the Gono University was adjudged as the player of the final while Russel Munshi of Gono University grabbed the player of the tournament prize.
Fareast International University was named the most disciplined team of the tournament to receive the Fair play award.
Champions Gono University received Tk 300,000 as prize money while runners-up Southeast University got Tk 200,000.
State minister for youth and sports Zahid Ahsan Russell was the chief guest at the final and later distributed the prizes among the winners.
