Gono University edged past IUBAT 3-0 in the second semi-final of Faraaz Gold Cup 2019 at the Birshreshtha Shaheed Mostafa Kamal Stadium in Kamalapur Monday to secure a spot in the final of the tournament.
Shakhawat Hossain, Ripon Mollah and Ashraful Islam scored a goal each to help their team win the game despite playing with a player short for over two-thirds of the game.
Russel Munshi was adjudged as player of the match.
Gono University will face Southeast University in the tournament decider on October 21, at the same venue.
