Bangladesh U-16 girls to fly off to China for five friendlies

The Bangladesh girls will fly off at 2am and will contest the friendlies from Saturday to Wednesday. Bangladesh will play three friendlies against the China U-14 team and two against the Shaanxi Provincial side. All the matches will be held at Xi'an, central China. Following their first training session on Friday, Bangladesh will take on China U-14 in their first three friendlies on Saturday, Monday and Wednesday respectively. The visiting side will also face Shaanxi on Sunday and Tuesday. Bangladesh are scheduled to return on Thursday. The China tour is part of Bangladesh's preparation ahead of the AFC U-16 Women’s Championship, slated for Thailand in September this year. The young Bangladesh girls earlier in January enjoyed their first ever camp in foreign conditions when they played seven matches in a women's football festival in Japan. The Bangladesh senior women's team also travelled to Singapore in February to contest a friendly tournament where the majority (15) of the squad members were from the U-16 team.
