Bangladesh got Bhutan as opponent in the semi-final of the Saff U-18 Championship 2019 as group runners-up after India defeated Sri Lanka 3-0 in the last match of Group B at APF Stadium in Kathmandu, Nepal Wednesday.
Both Bangladesh and India earned same four points after the end of the group fixtures with similar goal-difference.
A lottery was arranged to decide the group winner where India’s name was picked.
The junior men in red and green will face Group A champion Bhutan at the same venue Friday while India and Maldives take on each other in the other last-four encounter.
Bangladesh earlier defeated Sri Lanka 3-0 and fired blanks against India in the second match.
