After winning the first two practice matches, Bangladesh U-16 football girls were held to a 2-2 draw in their third and last warm-up game against an older group of players at Kasetsart University in Thailand Wednesday.

Bangladesh went ahead in the game through Tohura Khatun’s goal in the 29th minute before conceding two in the 48th and 77th minute.

Nilufar Yesmin Nila restored parity in injury time.

Head coach Golam Rabbani Choton made two changes in the starting XI from the first two matches, resting Anai Mogini and Shamsunnahar.

He said, “It was the most difficult game among three practice matches because the opponent are an university team with players aged 20 or above. But we had the best opening half. The girls improved in every game.”

The girls in red and green will kick off their second ever participation in the AFC U-16 Women’s Championship against host Thailand Sunday.
