Ahmed Shaaek, the marketing and media manager of new Bangladesh Premier League champion Bashundhara Kings, has been listed as the first Bangladeshi to get selected for the 2019-20’s Uefa Certificate in Football Management course out of a total of 28 in the world.

Uefa has been delivering this Uefa CFM to only the staffs of 55 member associations since its launch in 2010 but from this year, for the first time, they opened it to those working in the football industry and also living outside Europe.

“I applied for the Uefa CFM back in May 2019. I’m very glad to get selected for the course after successful application and interview. It’s a nine-month course (August 2019-May 2020), including six online modules and three face-to-face seminars addressing key areas of football management,” said Shaaek.

“I already began the study. Unfortunately I couldn’t join the first seminar from August 30-31 but I won't miss the January 2020’s seminar at Wembley Stadium in UK and May 2020’s seminar in the Uefa headquarter in Switzerland,” said Shaaek.
