Bangladesh U15 national team is flying high following their dominating wins in the opening two matches and the boys are quite confident to carry on the fine form to seal the final berth with a game in hand when they face Nepal in their third match at the Kalyani Stadium in Nadia district of West Bengal, India Monday at 3.30pm Bangladesh Time.
The young boys in red and green kicked off the campaign with a 5-2 win over Bhutan before thrashing Sri Lanka by 7-1 in their second match on Saturday. If Bangladesh beat Nepal the place in the final will be confirmed before their last group match against India Thursday. The top two finishers out of five in the round-robin league will play the final on Saturday.
Bangladesh captain Rakibul Islam said ahead of the third game. “We won last two matches and we want to perform better in the next game against Nepal. There is no injury in the team but few little problems which we will recover before the game. We will play attacking football.”

Forward Al Mirad, the scorer in the first two matches, said, “I got goals in the last two matches and it was pleasing. We need goals to win games and I want to continue it and score goals in the third match as well.”
Team manager Md Mohsin said, “The boys played really well in the two matches. We want to carry on it against Nepal. We also want to win against India in the last group match and play the final.”
Bangladesh lost to Nepal in the semifinals of the 2017 edition of the meet but defeated the same opponent in the group round of the previous edition in 2018 in Nepal. Nepal began the ongoing campaign with a 5-0 defeat against India before beating Sri Lanka 2-0 in the last match.
