Arambagh Krira Sangha concluded their Bangladesh Premier League campaign with a victory Friday.

Arambagh were involved in a seven-goal thriller and it was them who prevailed 5-2 over Brothers Union at Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka.

Brothers went ahead in just the third minute but their joy didn’t last long as Arambagh brought parity in the 12th minute through Paul Emile.

Arambagh then took control of the game as Chinedu Mathew grabbed a quickfire brace.

Mathew scored his first in the 19th minute when he outfoxed the opposition goalkeeper from a counter attack before netting his second five minutes later, this time dribbling past the keeper.

Emile made it 4-1 in the 37th minute before Mathew registered a well-deserved hat-trick.

Brothers’ Mannaf Rabby found the back of the net in the 72nd minute but it was too little, too late.

Arambagh finished at fifth in the 13-team points table with 33 points from 24 matches, while Brothers ended third-from-bottom with 21 points.
