The final day of the group stage games of the 14th Ascent Cup yesterday saw a flood of goals.
After coming close to winning in their first 2 games but running out of luck, Associate sponsors Securex, came back brilliantly. Living up to their full potential, they took Beatnik to the cleaners. It was a clean game of attacking football from Securex that gave Beatnik no ground to stand on as they netted in 6 goals. The commanding win saw them off to their winning ways.
IIDFC topped their group with a dominating win against Le Meridien. Their passing football with clinical finishes saw them scoring a goal in every 2 minutes, finishing it with a score line of 10-1. Biplob scored five and Rashidul struck a hat-trick.
After conceding a blushing defeat to BAT, Telenor made a complete turnaround as they played proper attacking football with smooth finishes to end the game with 8 goals. In the process of attacking, on counter-attack Metronet scored 2 great goals.

The organizers of the tournament hope everyone that comes to play or watch the games contributes to the cause. There is no minimum or maximum amount set, any amount, anyone contributes is appreciated. To make the process more enjoyable they recommend donating based on the number of goals scored, for example pledging 50/100 taka (any amount) for every goal scored.
