Nofel Sporting Club kept their hope alive of avoiding relegation in their debut Bangladesh Premier League season as they edged Chittagong Abahani Limited 1-0 at Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka Sunday.
Chittagong Abahani defeated Nofel 3-0 in the first phase game in April but seemed not much eager Sunday in a dull match that saw very few chances created.
Midfielder Mohammad Forhad Mona netted the all-important goal five minutes into the second half tapping home from close range following a low cross of Jamir Uddin.
