Sheikh Jamal, last year’s runners-up in the league, doubled their lead five minutes later through Argentine forward Luciano.
Arambagh are fourth with nine points from five matches, while Sheikh Jamal leapfrogged Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra and Chittagong Abahani Limited to sixth.
