Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra continued their 100% record in the Bangladesh Premier League as they beat Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited 3-0 at Sylhet District Stadium Monday.
Sheikh Russel, who won their first two matches against Arambagh Krira Sangha and Brothers Union, picked up the big win to ascend into second position of the league in front of their home crowd.
Sheikh Russel players made a great celebration in front of their home crowd in their first home game of the season in the eighth minute when their Nigerian recruit Raphael Odovin Onwrebe put the ball home with a placing shot off an immaculate cross of his compatriot Ndukaku Alison.
Alison scored the second goal in the 42nd minute.
Odovin connected a header from Uzbek winger Alisher Azizov but it rebounded off the crosspiece and Alison slotted home with an acrobatic shot.

Azizov scored the third goal in the 86th minute through a brilliant individual effort.
Odovin got the ball in Mohammedan area from a misdirected goal kick and passed it to the Uzbek before he dodged past two players and took a powerful shot to the left of the diving goalkeeper for a 3-0 lead.
Sheikh Russel now have equal nine points from three games like league leader Bashundhara Kings, but the latter are top with a superior goal difference.
On the other hand, fallen giant Mohammedan, who started the campaign with a win against team Team BJMC, tasted their third defeat in four matches.
