The BPL will take a breather at different points of the season due to the national team’s assignments, the AFC U-23 Championship and Abahani’s participation in the AFC Cup.
Meanwhile, the upcoming Bangladesh Championship League 2018-19 season will begin on February 5 at Shaheed Sipahi Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium in Kamalapur.
The bottom two teams of the BPL will get relegated to the 12-team Championship League, while the champion of the second tier will be promoted to the top-flight.
