Mohammedan kicked off the day’s second match with an equation to beat the Chittagong outfit by a margin of four goals or more, but the Black and Whites lacked creativity and the finishing touch, and failed to get a single goal.
Landing Darboe’s appearance earned the Gambian forward a close-range header, following Amir Hakim’s cross, but keeper Rasel Mahmud Liton was ready to grip the ball.
Chittagong Abahani almost broke the deadlock in the 49th minute, but Mohammedan goalkeeper Khandakar Saad Istiyak produced a diving punch to deny Nigerian defender Mufta Lawal’s header from a Nazmul Islam Rasel free-kick.
